Pre-Fall Style Lab: Dosha Dressing With a Twist of Lime

We’re not tiptoeing into Fall by leaving summer sunshine behind.

During Summer we showed our readers how to personalize one outfit with a scarf based on energy balances. Our pre-Fall look is all about keeping the brights of Summer and add Fall-forward purple.

Shoe types make a difference in how one carries themselves. Ready for anything stilettos or laid-back sneakers hold totally different vibes.

These styles work with individual energy leads to help in adapting to a new season.

Vata

Bright can be jarring if pre-existing edginess lurks like Autumn leaves. Dark shoes with a sturdy heel  like these platforms stabilize nerves and give a sense of personal authority. This can be combined with a neutral top in blush or white. Walking with confidence into September never looked brighter.

Pitta

Grounding with lighter purple eases intensity as does an easy shoe style. These are reminiscent of easier Summer days, but a sense of duty is not lost when paired with a bright pencil skirt. Pitta can also prolong the life of Summer gingham by pairing it with the Vata platforms. This adds fun and subtracts seriousness this dosha is known for.

Kapha

Stilettos empower this commonly unassertive dosha. A new season equals new responsibilities, which can be off-putting. Kapha is the only one that could get away with bright on the top and bottom. This shirt and scarf combo perfectly uplifts throughout the day.
