It Girl vs. IT Girl: Information Technology Gets Fashionable

High-tech meets fashion. This has been abuzz for a few years, but when Chanel grasps it, we gotta start coding.... or de-coding. De-bugging, maybe?
Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2017 collection features data-centric fashion. Their bags and sunglasses feature coding-type façade and their fashion show, Chanel Data_Center, was complete with mainframes and robotic models. Despite having exorbitant pricing, Chanel's items in this collection only have the look of advanced technology. Other companies actually combine fashion and technology by using functionality as their selling point. You know, like that FitBit thing, but swankier. So, it’s up to you: Do you want a $10,200 resin Chanel bag that does nothing else but keep you stylin' for one season? Or do you want a $200 clutch that not only charges your phone, but also acts as a speaker? This is the difference between being an “It Girl” and being and “IT Girl” …. Or boy, of course.

2. Aviator Glasses - Enchroma developed sunglasses that correct color blindness when worn. Shown here is the Atlas model, which provides 100% UV protection, is scratch-resistant, and anti-reflective. From $429
3. Wristify - Embr Labs is developing a body temperature-regulating bracelet. MIT-trained engineers came together with a jewelry designer to give you a potentially energy-saving wearable device.
4. Smart Ring- Motiv made a discrete fitness tracker for your finger instead of adding bulkiness to your oh so delicate wrist. Just like the famous FitBit, it measures calories, heart rate, sleep, steps, and activity. It takes 90 minutes to charge via a USB Magnetic charger and uses a lithium ion battery. It works only with Apple iOS right now, but they are working on an Android version. It’s available in rose gold and slate gray for $199.
Final Data Input
The "It Girls", or girl of the moment in the realms of fashion, might have gotten Chanel's fashion show invite, but the IT girls are revolutionizing those precious smart devices the world can't live without. By the way, IT = Information Technology. XOXO
