EDITOR'S LETTER: THE ART ISSUE 22/23

As the 10 year celebration continues of the The Breakdown Magazine, The Art Issue focuses on the Science of Art. When I started this adventure, one of my goals was to convince society of the interconnection between science and art. That comes through seeing life as an art. Every aspect of it that makes us human. Art is Science is meant to inspire the masses into appreciating their lives. This cannot be done by showing the literal, but by abstract means that touch the emotions on a deeper level. My first articles connected neuroscience of love and anger to Picasso and Rothko.

This Fall and Winter we’re easing into a new pace, living in the moment, and taking the worry out of the future. We are living an artful life from experimenting with Picasso’s sleep before the November time change in preparation for never-ending daylight. Exercising and eating for individual energy highlights how Ayurvedic science personalizes yoga and our taste palettes. Matisse would have like to mix up these colors.

Lab style and beauty are at the essence of self-expression, especially with drastic climate changes. As we begin the colder seasons, Prada walks us through neurodegeneration in vital gathering on diagnosis and treatment targets for Alzheimer’s and beyond. Editor’s Picks have chosen products that compliment nature and nurture our skin cells from berries to jasmine massages.

These are also the seasons to settle in with the actual arts. I’ve included the breakdown of the scientific aspects of literature and shows that remain relevant in culture and society. How does Frankenstein touch your soul? Because this issue is a bigger one covering two seasons, articles will be released at their appropriate times. Keep reading and enjoy the colors of life.

With Warmth,

Dr. Kuver
