Cakes + Fizzies: Bidding Farewell to Summer Barbie Style
What a Summer it was. Pink everywhere with a sparkle of authority. As the sun sets on another season, it shines bright on a new one.
Barbie The Movie won the Summer in theaters and wardrobes. Now it is cruising us through the last of Summer days and into the Fall spectacular. The movie has been released to streaming platforms for rental and purchase prompting watch parties.
There is no better way to celebrate letting go of the past and walking into today than with a slice of ice cream cake and a fizzy drink.
And make it pink for one last road trip.
The Cake:
Cold Stone Creamery created an ice cream cake for Barbie with layers of pink glitter ice cream. The white cake levels out the sweetness because we girls can do anything including not being annoyingly sweet. Cut into a slice and live out your childhood dreams before those unpalatable pumpkin apple spiced and diced chai lattes* take over.

The Fizzy:
The BKDWN is known for creating drinks that are beneficial to the entire system based on Ayurvedic principles. The Barbie Fizzy was imbibed on repeat this Summer for interior cooling of Pitta heat. A mix of our favorite rosé with rose lemonade is perfectly topped with a Dream House straw.
