Albert Einstein's Career Advice to a Friend

In a letter written by Albert Einstein to Carl Heinz Jucker:
With the present enormous unemployment figures in America, it is impossible to provide work there for an artist at the present time. I know the case of a German chamber musician who ended up in dire straits through no fault of his own. I believe that the artist would also profit by acquiring a clear distinction between bread-winning and working for the inner satisfaction to be obtained in his own life. I had to make the same choice in my youth regarding science.
