Twelve years ago Dr. Kuver created what had not been done before- a magazine that meshed science with culture. The Vogue of STEM as some say. From a studio in SoHo and debilitatingly Ill she inadvertently became an entrepreneur and leader in publishing.
Her intention was to not only defog scientific reasoning behind everyday products and life, but to reach the people who do not read orthodox publications like the New York Times. It was a new and fresh initiative that immediately caught the attention of the public and science communities on a global scale.
To this day, she keeps The Magazine independent by being ad-free and free from product endorsements. This is unlike other publications. Dr. Kuver truly continues to lead the way in science communication for generations to come.
Here is a look at the origins of the multiple series she conceived and pioneered over a decade.
