Dear Prince,

We imagine that for the past Earth year, you must have let yourself “go crazy” in “the afterworld”- a place where you “laugh underneath the purple rain” and the “sun shines, day and night”. I hypothesize that it’s a space complete with “purple bananas” and “raspberry berets”. Quite honestly, “I don’t care where we go…. Just take me with you.” (2, 3, 4, 5)

“Some people want to die so they can be free”, but it’s more complicated to appreciate that “life is just a game, we're all just the same.” A few citizens of planet Earth readily perceive this concept clearly, but you enlightened the masses with your bravura. You did not ‘have to be rich or cool’ because we “just want your extra time.” As Springtime dissipates it’s knowing warmth, we come to experience that “sometimes it snows in April.” You compelled us to comprehend that “all good things…. never last”. (1, 6, 7)

Earthlings thank you for proving that the amalgamation of diverse music, style, art, and social consciousness can transcend generations and populations. Thank you for being an Original $cientist.
